About Brian Wines

A Different Kind of Real Estate Agent

I pride myself in being very different than the "typical" real estate agent.  My educational and professional background, my personal real estate investing experience and my 100% Satisfaction - Client First philosophy all help to provide better better results for my clients.

My Background

My educational background includes a B.S. in Engineering, M.S. in Engineering and an MBA in Marketing and Finance.  I used this background extensively in my 18 years at Tier One Automotive Suppliers and General Motors.

Equally important to my clients is the formal training I had while at GM I in eCommerce, Internet Marketing, and Negotiation Strategy.  At GM I used these skills to run the largest automotive website in the industry and negotiate multimillion dollar contracts with vendors, advertising agencies and major automotive internet web sites.

My real estate background is long and varied.  I began investing in real estate back in the mid 1980's when interest rates were double digits.  I currently personally own a full range of properties including single family homes, condominiums, vacation properties, investment properties and a stake in a major land and single family home development project.  All of this real world experience has benefited my clients greatly.  Think about it - do you want to work with a  agent who had mediocre success in real estate on a personal level ... or a Professional Real Estate Consultant who knows enough about the market to help you capitalize on real world experience and success ... and has consistently been the Top Consultant at Professional One Real Estate for 4 years running.

My Client-First Philosophy

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.

That said, in my experience as a real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.

Equally important, it means working with you on a personal level with your time frame and your goals at the forefront.  The philosophy of the "typical" agent is a "sales-oriented" approach with a focus to only work with clients who are ready to sell or purchase in the next 1-3 weeks.  My approach is VERY different.  I believe in a "consultative-approach" and working with literally dozens of clients who are at all stages of the purchase process.

My approach with sellers is also very different that the "sales-oriented" approach where agents weekly approach their sellers about reducing prices to bring about a quick sale ... and hence a quick paycheck for the agent.  I believe in hanging with my sellers ... making price reductions when the market data bears out the necessity.  This has literally translated into Tens of Thousands of extra dollars in my clients pockets at closing.   In one recent transaction on a high end property, my clients were bombarded with low-ball offers ... and were really beginning to doubt the pricing strategy we had developed for their home.  Less than 3 weeks after the initial low-ball offer came in, we had a solid offer more than $150,000 more than the the first offer to come in.  Other agents were pressuring my clients to accept the low-ball offers, but we reviewed the data, stuck by our convictions and my clients reported that they "couldn't be more satisfied with the result".
